Those Two Bears

Kyouko and Teddie have been growing steadily closer in MLJ. But ever since Kyouko turned into a bear, Ponyville has seen a new horror rise: chaos, in the form of bears.

Also, you know, cute situations of various sorts.

This post is a catch-all for interactions between these two lovebears. It is canon for My Little Jamjar.

[Teddie has always been a fan of the hometown boutique, visiting occasionally to sneak a peek at the dresses he'll never be able to wear. The materials were always so beautiful, soft to the touch, and he loved the way some of them sparkled with various types of gemstones.

Why couldn't any of them be made in his size?]

Aw man, I kinda want all of 'em...

[He's currently holding the end of a mannequin-modeled dress in his paws, rubbing the silky fabric with his fuzzy paw digits. A part of him kind of wants to buy it and possibly modify it to fit his shape, but...these dresses were like works of art to the pony who made them, he wouldn't want to destroy something so special...]

[ Kyouko hangs back a little, chewing on a huge chocolate-chip cookie. She leans in and examines the dress, peering over his shoulder. He seems really into this, and she feels like there aren't a lot of clothes for him.

They usually wore the same thing. Probably that hoodie and that blouse should be washed more frequently than they are. ]

... Ya wanna design somethin'? [ She brushes the fabric with her paw and glances at him. ] Ya need a new outfit. Maybe Rarity could make it for ya.

You really think so?!

[Rarity already made his magical girl outfit, he's surprised to hear he could possibly get another one. Maybe something not so over the top, maybe even casual...

The possibilities are endless!]

You...do you think you could help me out?

Yeah, sure. [ For all her fashion knowledge. Which is nonexistent. (One hoodie.) ]

Rarity's makin' tons all th'time, what's another outfit or two?

[ She squeezes his shoulder. ] C'mon, let's get some fabric. An' also a lotta paper.

[She couldn't of made him happier if she tried. Throwing his arms around her, he squeezes her close before taking off for fabric.]

T-Thanks, Kyo-chan, you're the greatest!

[He's going to draw so hard to come up with the best design. He may even need to break out the good crayons.]

Heh. I know. [ She squeezes him tightly back, before muttering so he can hear: ] 'Cept you.

[ She runs after him, pulling out a couple of sparkly fabrics she thinks he'll like along the way. Also, a bright red one. Because red. ]

What kinda occasion ya thinkin'? Parties? Pajamas?

[Everything is different now.

Once that moment of awe has passed, Teddie shakes himself out of it and begins looking through more types of different fabrics.]

I already got some really fancy clothes, maybe something more normal. Yet striking at the same time~

Ya can do whatever ya want. Bet ya'll look dashin' in it no matter what.

[ She tosses a couple of bows onto her own pile of fabrics and shows them to Teddie for him to root through. ]

[Teddie gives her a stare for a second, just realizing she was giving him a compliment, before he nods his head and begins to smile.]

Kyo-chaaaan~ You're too nice to me.

[Poking through the bows, he begins to sort them by color.]

You know, you should get something, too.

Am I? [ She says it thoughtfully and flops on the ground, chewing on her chocolate. ] I could fight with ya more.

[ Oh look, the boutique has some paper lying around. Possibly scraps? Kyouko grabs one and also a pencil. ] Maybe. I dunno. My hoodie's okay.

[ She starts sketching a dress for Teddie, complete with frills and bows. ]

[Peeking over her shoulder, he gives her a surprisingly serious look.]

...Do you not feel pretty?

[Maybe a huge jump from "My hoodie's okay", but Teddie can't see a reason for them to not do something together. It doesn't hurt to make sure.

Of course, he gets distracted when he sees her sketch.]

Oh wow! You're real good at this, arentcha?

[Action]

[ Aw, Teddie. She bumps his head gently with hers. ]

Hey, mebbe we can match. Or at least be the two best-lookin' bears in Equestria.

[ She grabs another pencil and paper and hands it to him. ] 'm not doin' all th'work. Get drawin'. [ She's not mad at him at all, as her tone betrays. Just gentle ribbing. ]
